Artistic & Documentary Wedding Photography
Digitally & on Film
Through the viewfinder of a handful of different digital and film cameras, the most candid of moments on your wedding day are seen as art. A photojournalistic, true to color approach is taken to capture your special day with mindfulness and attention to the littlest of details that are often overlooked. All of the treasured moments between the two of you and your loved ones will be documented for an heirloom collection of your wedding day photographs.
About your Photographer: Lillian (Lil) Chun
I'm Lil! (she/her)
I am an artist, photographer, mama, educator, yogi and nature lover who doesn't take time for granted. I love documenting life and ordinary moments through art and photography. I began shooting film for the first time in 2009 and launched Spiral Lens Photo in 2019. I approach wedding photography with a photojournalistic eye and a heightened sensitivity to noticing the little things that others might often miss. |
I graduated with a BFA & MAT from the Maryland Institute College of Art. My work has been featured in national and international galleries and exhibitions. I have been honored to photograph weddings in backyards, elopements at the courthouse and churches among many other beautiful venues in the DMV area.
|
I take pride in connecting with my clients and finding out what is most important to them and doing my absolute best to honor their wishes on one of their most important days of their life together.

Our wedding photographs could not have turned out more stunning! Lil was wonderful to work with through the entire process - from planning for the event to receiving our photos. She's easy to communicate with, responds in a timely manner and takes into account all of your suggestions/requests while adding her own artistic touch and captured some of the most wonderful candid moments!" |
When you hire an artist to shoot your wedding,
your wedding day is treated like a work of art.
Spiral Lens Photo is an amazing photography service! Lillian was awesome during our wedding and really helped make the day go smoothly. The pre and post ceremony photo sessions were a ton of fun and was very professional throughout the whole day. The photos are incredible and we are happy that we went with Spiral Lens for our wedding photos!"

I go beyond the typical shots and capture the smallest of moments between you, your guests and family that say everything.
What does the planning process typically look like? Throughout your wedding planning process, we will get on the phone and chat about your ideas and plans for your special day. Lillian and her photos exceeded all of my expectations. Her creativity, attention to detail, and true passion for photography shows in all of her work.
